Sandy Talen is the artist behind Lone Star Jewelry. She specializes in Texas Topaz Jewelry in the  official gemstone of the state of Texas. In addition to Texas Topaz, Sandy uses other gemstones, pearls, amber, and cameos. Sandy also paints porcelain and sets many of her miniature paintings in gold jewelry.

Sandy is a fifth generation Texan and Texas gemstones are her favorite. She lives and works in her home in Austin Texas.
